Shakota is the perfect blend of Butler genetics and Owen McGill breeding incorporating the horn genetics of both Coach and Roundup, two of the most consistent horn producing bulls in the Longhorn industry. His pedigree is filled with prominent ancestors starting with his sire Coach and his dam Hatchet. His granddam Hashknife is one of Owen McGill's legendary producers. Shakota is an outstanding herd sire - producing calves with show quality conformation, twisty horns, big bodies and gentle dispositions. Shakota's heifer to bull calf ratio is greater than 3:1 so fortunately we are able to keep many of his heifers in our program for future foundation cows. His heifers are exceptional mamas with perfect udders and they are great milkers. Shakota's full sister Scratchit BL117 sold for $21,000 in the 2008 TLBAA Horn Showcase Sale.  She was also the High-Selling Lot in the sale.
