Axel has been with us since he was only one month old when we bought
him at side with his dam, Little
Orphan Annie 55. Axel was always following us around
and loved getting attention. Nothing has changed about that
except that he is now over 62 inches tall at the hip, weighs
close to 1,800 lbs. and his horns are now over 6 feet across.
(Photo taken 2-13-08) In March 2008 we donated Axel to the Fort Worth Zoological Society to be part of the Fort Worth Steer Herd. There is only one Texas Longhorn herd of this kind in the world and we are proud that Axel will be a part of this prestigeous group. He will be seen and admired by thousands of visitors to the Fort Worth Stockyards Station each year. |
